Hi Dr Ryan, for composite restorations, some dentists use only base (Vitrebond) and no more liner (Dycal) when a liner is called for. Does that still protect the pulp? And I love all your videos, by the way. It is helping me so much in my review for the boards. Thank you for what you do.

Hi dr. Ryan, in this video you mentioned that cavity liners provide thermal and electrical protection but in DD it mentions that they don’t provide thermal protection. I’m confused as to whether they do or not?
